Perry County Sheriff William Barker says two men are in custody accused of transporting drugs. The Sheriff says on Wednesday agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested two men for trafficking in heroin and permitting drug abuse. Barker says the drug transactions took place on South Columbus Street in Somerset with the arrests taking place on State Route 669 near Buckeye Valley Road. Barker says the two suspects are accused of transporting drugs from Columbus to Perry County for distribution. Both men are being held in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and are awaiting formal charges. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
