Crooksville Man Crushed Between Cars

A Crooksville man has regained feeling in his legs after getting pinned between two cars Friday night.

Corporal Vibert Wisecarver said the Crooksville Fire Department responded to the call around 9:45 in the 600-block of South State Street near the Snack Bar.  He said Brandon Pennington of Crooksville was trying to start his manual transmission vehicle.

The man was working under the hood of his car, but he forgot to put it in neutral, so when the car started, it propelled him into another vehicle.  He was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down.

First responders attempted to call for MedFlight, but the helicopter was unable to take off because of the weather.  The man was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
