A new community organization held it's debut event in Zanesville Saturday at Prophet's Park.
The Z.O.O.-Zanesville Opportunity Organization- presented Tailgate to Fill the Plate benefiting Christ's Table. The tailgate party kicked off at ten a-m with a flea market and Chinese auction. The cost to enter was one dollar or a canned food donation.
"We have a lot of canned food donations so far. The more the better so we're happy about the turnout so far," said co-founder, Missy Durant.
The party featured vendors selling all types of crafts and food items. A cornhole tournament was held leading up to the Ohio State football game. The event wouldn't have been possible without help from the community.
"I think it's going really well so far we had a lot of support from a lot of people so far. We have a lot of volunteers I'm really happy about that."
A check from the proceeds will be presented by the volunteers to Keely Warden, director of Christ's Table on Monday.
