Heath Police warn of a possible scam taking place in the area.

Authorities said a subject, who identified himself as a bank investigator or law enforcement officer, contacted a customer who had an account with a local bank. The suspect told the customer he was investigating a possible fraud and asked the customer to withdraw money from their account and take the money to a nearby location to turn it over.

The victim met the suspect who's described as a white male in his 60's or 70's, approximately 6'0 tall and about 165lbs.

The suspect told the customer that the money would be returned to her account. The money was turned over to the suspect, who then left.

Police remind residents that anytime someone contacts you unsolicited and asks for personal information they should call authorities.
