A high speed pursuit through two counties ends with one person being transported to the hospital.

Muskingum County Sheriff's Deputies said it began around midnight Thursday when they were attempting to stop a 2002 Toyota on State Route 40 east of Zanesville for a traffic offense.

The driver of the vehicle, Ann Johnson of Zanesville, then lead deputies along US 40 and then onto I-70 eastbound, traveling into Guernsey County, where they State Highway Patrol and Guernsey County Sheriff assisted.

The State Patrol deployed stop sticks three times, causing the tires on the vehicle to deflate, eventually disabling the vehicle between Old Washington and Quaker City.

Johnson was removed from the vehicle and taken by Quaker City Squad to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was admitted for evaluation.

Lt. Mark Ross said at this time the incident will be sent to the Muskingum County Prosecutor's Office for review for charges.
