Perry County Sheriff William Barker today announced the indictment of a New Lexington man in connection with a beating case. The Sheriff says 28-year-old Joseph Stanley is accused of forcing his way into a home at 3403 Marietta Road in New Lexington with an accomplice and severely beating 63-year-old Hugh Clark in February. Stanley is charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and felonious assault. Sheriff Barker says Stanley is currently being held in the North Central Correctional Complex in Marion on an unrelated convicted for felonious assault that occurred in Noble County. The Sheriff says his accomplice, Kelli Jones, also of New Lexington, has already been sentenced in the case to 8 years in the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville.
