Motorcyclists for Kids Toy Ride

Area bikers fired up their engines Saturday in support of those in need this holiday season.

Rushing Wind Biker Church hosted their 16th annual Motorcyclists for Kids Toy Ride Saturday afternoon. The event took place in the Colony Square Mall parking lot in Zanesville. With the holiday season fast approaching, the event serves as an early start in raising money and collecting toys for donation to the Salvation Army.

"They will disperse it from there to help the families in need this Christmas season." explained Rushing Wind Biker Church Pastor Michael McGuire. "For the children, this might make their Christmas just a little bit better."

Around two-hundred motorcycles and close to three-hundred people came out to the event to support the cause.

"To see everybody come together, a little early in the Christmas season, but to see them come together and pull together and help the children in the local area is really awesome." said McGuire.

The cost for the event was ten dollars per person, or an unwrapped toy donation of equal value.
