Four men spend time in the hospital on Thanksgiving.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office said around 2:30a.m. Thursday a deputy attempted to catch up to a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign on Plum Street at 6th Street in Coshocton.

The vehicle fled and lost control in the curves at Clow Water Systems. The driver 24-year-old Michael Ogle, of Coshocton, overcorrected and drove off the right side of the road before sliding into a utility pole.

Ogle as well has his passengers 37-year-old Jason Ross of Gahanna, 21-year-old Christopher Miller of Coshocton and 24-year-old Douglas Conethan II also of Coshocton were all taken to Coshocton Memorial Hospital. Conethan was later taken to Ohio State University Medical Center by MedFlight.

The sheriff's office said alcohol and excessive speed are factors in the crash which remains under investigation.
