Two friends join together to create works of art.
Susan Nash and Susan Stubbins have been friends for a long time. While, they have trouble remembering how long they've run Studio 202 on 3rd Street in downtown Zanesville, these friends encourage each others works.
"I think we can't help but do that. I think subconsciously you just see the same things or some colors she uses might spark my interest and maybe I'll try that kind of combination, but we work in such different materials they are similar but different," explained artist Susan Nash.
The Susans' are this months featured artists at the First Friday Artwalk. Susan Nash works with textiles and Susan Stubbins works in mixed media collages using paper.
"Materials themselves are inspiration," said artist Susan Stubbins. "The papers, the colors. I like to travel so some of my artwalk is inspired by travel."
The first Friday Artwalk takes place this Friday from 5p.m.-8p.m.
