The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said that the crash took place on Watkins Road south of Blacks Road in Harrison Township just before 7 p.m.. Monday and may have been caused by fog.

Rose died at the scene. His passenger 73-year-old Emogene Henry of Galloway was taken by West Licking EMS to Grant Medical Center with minor injuries.

Runzel was transported to Mount Carmel East Medical Center by West Licking EMS also with minor injuries.
