A store that was only supposed to be temporary at the Colony Square mall has decided to stay.
When Toys 'R Us opened in November it was considered a pop up store and only was expected to stay through the holidays. Thanks to the amount of sales they saw the store has decided to stay at least a year.
"It's the next level of the test they'll be here for a year and if their sales continue to be strong they'll talk to us about long term," said Mall Marketing Manager.
Pinson said that getting stores to come to the mall can take some time.
"It is kind of a long process. There's the initial pitch to get them to come out and look at it. They study the market and then there's the negotiation process that can take several months, then there's the construction planning side of it," Pinson.
Pinson said they are still awaiting final numbers to see how well the mall did during the holiday season.
