The opening show for the 2013 season for The Zane Trace Players will be at The Renner theater for one more weekend.
"The Foreigner" is a comedic play featuring a man who is trying to escape his problems by traveling to a hunting lodge in Georgia to get some needed solitude.
Director, Jeff Howard, explained, "Who doesn't speak to anybody, wants to be left alone and by doing so he finds himself privy to a lot of secrets, a lot of schemes and things going on at the and as the show progresses, he becomes more and more involved in the turning the tables on the bad guys. Nobody at the lodge knows he really does speak English so they are just talking, sharing all these secrets in front of him thinking he can't understand them."
Howard is doubling as the director and an actor in the play. This is the first time he's had the opportunity to do both.
"There are seven characters in the show. I play the part of Reverend David Lee, who starts out seeming to be one of the nicest guy you could ever run into but as the show progresses you find out he is not all what he seems to be."
There are three more shows next weekend. Tickets are $12 dollars for adults.
