The Muskingum Family "Y" is kicking off its 2013 Strong Kids Campaign with several fundraisers.
The campaign will run from February 13th through March 29th. It begins with a box lunch fundraiser at Honeybaked Ham on Maple Avenue. For each lunch ordered before February 18th, Honeybaked Ham will contribute two dollars to the campaign. Proceeds from the Strong Kids Campaign ensure that no one is denied the opportunity to share the "Y" experience due to an inability to pay.
"Our goal is to raise 22,000 dollars again this year and we're well on our way now with our volunteers and staff and the community stepping up and making pledges and investing in our strong kids," said Muskingum Family "Y" Executive Director, Craig Miracle.
Later in March there will be a St. Patty's Day Mud Run on the grounds of Park Central and the campus of Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State College. Miracle says these fundraising events always bring out a large crowd which helps the "Y" provide for so many families.
"Over the last six or seven years running the program we've impacted five to six hundred families."
