Zanesville once again held their annual golf show.
The Zanesville District Golf Association welcomed hundreds of golfers to Eaglesticks Golf Club Saturday to get prepped for the spring golf season. Not only did vendors turn out but every golf course in Muskingum County was in attendance as well. Mike Durant of the Zanesville Country Club says this year was unlike any other.
"I think if we combined five or six years and not have this crowd. The key is the crowd's here but they're staying. used to be they would come and go but they're staying and that means they're buying stuff from the local courses," said Durant.
The crowd was also treated to free clinics for youth and women golfers. Several competitions took place including a longest drive and putting contest. Attendees also had plenty of chances to win prizes in a live and silent auction. But the main focus was on the area's courses.
"It gives all the courses exposure. They can share what tournaments are going to be at their facilitie, what their membership packages are like and outing information, we're all trying to recruit outings," said Durant.
All the money raised today goes to support the Z.D.G.A youth scholarship program.
