A Zanesville man charged with stabbing a woman at an area church earlier this month appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.  25-year-old Kerron Brantley went before Judge Kelly Cottrill and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to one count each of attempted murder, felonious assault, breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools and tampering with evidence.  Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says the stabbing happened on February 13th at the First Church of God of Newark Road.  The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.  Brantley remains in the Muskingum County Jail.  Judge Cottrill continued his bond at $500,000.
