Zanesville Police Chief Eric Lambes says around 10:45 Thursday morning someone walking across the 6th Street Bridge saw an adult male body floating in the canal and told authorities. At 11:45 Zanesville Fire Fighters pulled the body out of the water. The Muskingum County Coroner is also on the scene. Chief Lambes says they do not know how long the body has been in the water. Detectives are trying to identify him. The body will be taken to the Good Samaritan Morgue. The incident remains under investigation.
