It's time to throw open those closet doors and do some spring cleaning.
Once you've piled up that clothing Elder Beerman and Goodwill want you to bring it to them. Now through March 30 if you donate items to Goodwill or drop them in the bins at Elder Beerman store.
You'll receive a 25 percent off coupon to the department store. This clothing helps to support their mission and keeps the organization running.
"The clothing is sorted and then we sell the clothing and that money directly goes towards wages for people with barriers to employment," explained Goodwill Manager Connie Kimble.
The Goodwill Sale began in 1994. In that time Elder Beerman has donated over 86 million items to Goodwill.
"I think it's so important to really support your community that you live in and this is a great way that Elder Beerman as a company can do that in every community that we're in," said Elder Beerman Manager Annie Wolfer.
Next weekend they'll hold a stuff the truck event at Elder Beerman from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those wishing to donate small appliances and furniture are urged to do so during this time.
