The unveiling of the flood markers event will be held at The John McIntire Library Auditorium this Saturday.

"This Saturday at 1 p.m.. there will be the final program. Which is very commemorative and celebratory. A movie will be shown, it's about a 7-minute documentary. And then information from the watershed district regarding, as a result of the flood, the kinds of things that are in place now that keep us safer and more able to control things," said Blair Tom, Assistant Director of The John McIntire Library.

Residents will also see pink ribbons around utility poles and around different areas of downtown including Linden Ave. and the Putnam area. The ribbons indicate the height of the water during the 1913 Flood to give people an idea of what it was like one-hundred years ago.

"There has been a tremendous interest and turnout for these programs so were anticipating that the auditorium will be full once again this Saturday."

The library encourages people to register for Saturday's event. You can register by calling the Reference Department at 740-453-0391
