An Easter surprise arrived at Christ's Table on Friday.
Two members of Zane Trace Boy Scout Troop 122 presented the organization with a $500 check. The money was raised by running a food stand at their pinewood derby event.
Shiloh Jones was on hand for Friday's presentation. He's a member of the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society for scouts.
"We were looking around for organizations in Zanesville and we decided Christ's Table," said Jones. "We're happy about what they are doing and we want them to keep on doing what they are doing."
The money will provide food for a full week to those who visit Christ's Table.
"You wonder where you're volunteers are coming from, where you're new community partners are coming from and you see young men like this stepping forward and doing a project like this for Christ's Table and picking us on their own, it assures you that tomorrow is going to be just fine," said Executive Director of Christ's Table Keely Warden.
Christ's Table also held an Easter celebration with the Easter bunny delivering baskets to children.
