Secrest Auditorium is giving you a chance to experience the arts for free.
The facility has two concerts coming up. Thursday April 4, the Collingsworth Family will take to the stage. The family performs gospel music. The concert will be free of charge.
"The sponsor for that event is the Zanesville Bible Methodist Church and that's how they wanted to present the show to make it open so that families can come and an opportunity to experience the Collingsworth Family," said Secrest Marketing Manager Ann Combs.
Another free show will take place on April 13. Bach to Broadway features local performers both young and old who will sing and play instruments. Beth Burrier, who has taught music and performed on Broadway tours will take part in the show as well. This concert is sponsored in part by the Thursday Music Club.
"One part of their mission is promote local music, but not to do so with any cost of charge to anyone," explained Combs. "And Secrest was happy to partner with them to bring that event to the community."
While there is no cost for the shows Combs recommends that those wishing to attend pick up tickets at the Secrest Box Office.
