A mobile home is a total loss following an early morning fire.
National Trails Assistant Chief Steve Dupler said that the structure was fully involved when crews arrived around 3:30 Wednesday morning.
"It looks like it started in the middle somewhere of the mobile home," explained Dupler. "There was some question whether on the initial dispatch whether anyone was inside or not, so we did our best to determine that."
Lisa Ferguson lived in the trailer, but wasn't home at the time of the fire. The State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.
"It's always safer to do it that way," said Assistant Chief Dupler "Anytime there's any question at all we want to turn it over to them, so they'll just do their investigation and do their best to come up with a cause and origin of the fire."
Dupler said that the heat from the fire melted the siding of the neighbor's home and broke the first layer of glass in their upstairs window.
National Trails was assisted on the scene by the Zanesville and Falls Township Fire Departments.
