Operation Feed continues to raise funds for the food pantries and hot meal programs in our area.
A quilt made by the Red Cross Guild of the Pieceable Quilters is the part of the latest fundraiser. Operation Feed is currently selling raffle tickets in order to give the quilt a good home. Operation Feed volunteer Keely Warden said she'd like to raise $500 from the raffle.
"I think the community recognizes the fact that the pantries and the hot meal programs are working really hard everyday to help people here in Muskingum County. They know the money is staying local. They know the money is being spent local and they just want to step up and help."
Warden who is the executive director of Christ's Table said Operation Feed is crucial to the Muskingum County Hunger Network.
"Operation Feed is very very critical to the pantries and the hot meal programs. I would have to say we couldn't survive if it wasn't for the support of Operation Feed and the community coming together and doing this for us," said Warden.
If you would like to buy raffle tickets for the quilt you can contact Christ's Table at (740) 452-9766. The drawing will be at the end of May.
