If you have a love for animals and would like to be a foster parent, the animal shelter is looking for you.
The Animal Shelter in Muskingum County is looking for people to provide foster homes for young puppies and kittens. The animals need a safe place to grow healthy.
Executive Director, Jody Murray said " They don't do well in the shelter environment, they do better in an environment that don't have a lot of other animals around so what we do is work with families, get them set up with all the food and bedding that they might need for the litter."
The shelter also provides for the initial vet expenses of the animals. There's one thing that perspective foster parents need to know according to Murray.
He said " The most important thing is to love animals and have some time to be able to take care of them, but as far as any special training there is no special training it's kind of a individual basis. "
