The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says one man has been arrested in connection with a bomb threat early Monday morning.
Capitan Jeff LeCocq said it happened at the Wal-Mart in South Zanesville just after 3:30.
LeCocq said the threat was found written in the store restroom. The store was closed and deputies, their bomb sniffing dog and members of the Newton Township Fire Department did a sweep of the store. Nothing was found.
Captain LeCocq says around 8:00 Monday morning a suspect was being questioned about the incident and confessed to writing the threat. The suspects name won’t be released until he is formally charged. He is being held in the Muskingum County Jail.
The store re-opened just after 5 a.m.
