Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Perry County

Fatal Motorcycle accident

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle crash that happened Saturday night in Salt Lick Township.

Troopers from the Lancaster Patrol Post in Perry County responded to a call at 7:14 p.m. from a driver reporting an accident.

According to the OSHP, Michael R. Starlin, 53, of Zanesville was driving westbound on SR-155 on his Harley Davidson when he lost control of his motorcycle. Starlin traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a pole, ejecting him from his motorcycle. He  was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Perry County Coroner.

The accident remains under investigation and troopers say speed is suspected to be a factor.
