The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said one person was killed in an early morning accident.

Troopers said the accident took place just before 12:30 Thursday morning on Interstate 70 east just west of State Route 158.

The patrol reports 46-year-old Edward Ferguson of Mississippi was traveling east when he struck a pick up truck driven by 21-year-old Caleb Miller of Baltimore, Ohio.

The pick-up was forced into a tractor trailer driven by 32-year-old Victor Hale also of Mississippi. Hale's truck then struck a trailer driven by 41-year-old Paul Capone of Sandusky.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. Ferguson and Capone were transported to Mount Carmel East Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. Interstate 70 was shut down for seven hours while the crash was investigated.
