This was the 26th year for the annual campaign that focuses on feeding and providing for the needy in Muskingum County by collecting funds and food from March through May.
"Today is kind of a wrap-up party. It's at the end of the campaign, we go through and have a meal with everybody and basically do a lot of thanking to all the businesses that donated, all the events that they took the time out of their schedules, the employers that let their employees be involved in this, it's a huge help to us," said Sheriff Matt Lutz, of the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office.
The Muskingum County Hunger Network has served over one million meals in 2012 through their four hot meal programs and the 15 food pantries they offer in Muskingum County.
"This is a huge need in our community and our community here in Zanesville seems to be pretty close knit and really is up to the task of stepping up when things are needed, and this is a huge deal and we get a lot of support from our community."
The Operation Feed Campaign raised close to $30,000 during this year's campaign.
