A two day camp is teaching children of all ages the fundamentals of track and field.

This is the fourth year that Team Godspeed has hosted their annual track and field camp. Participants learn how to perform workouts, improve technique and attempt different field activities including long jump and shot put. Different coaches from around the area came to Zanesville High School to work with the kids.

"I like it, definitely organized I mean like I said it drew pretty big crowds with the younger kids and I think that's great to get them active and in the summer time with the nice weather and grow an interest early, " said Marietta Assistant Track Coach,Tim Wunderlich.

The camp is for youth, preschool to highschool. The students are broken up into two different age brackets. Team Godspeed organizer, Christine Williams says she enjoys watching the progression the students make throughout the camp.

"It's just interesting to just see where they are and then to see them just from the first try to the third try and just see their confidence increase is just a wonderful day," said Williams.

If you want to witness the improvements these athletes made throughout camp, the Team Godspeed Track Meet will start at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and last until 3 p.m.
