A project to help the stop of rock falls along an Ohio interstate begins Monday.
The Ohio Department of Transportation said that the rock remediation project will take place Monday July 8, on a northbound section of Interstate 77 located three miles north of exit 47 (U.S. Route 22) in Guernsey County.
The project will remove rock along the interstate and will be completed with the addition of a barrier wall to prevent rock debris from entering the roadway.
The I-77 northbound driving lane will be closed within the work zone of this project, one lane of traffic will be maintained. The over $168,000 project is being done by Buds Incorporated in Nashport, Ohio and the completion date is September 30.
