On Tuesday, the club transitioned their new president, Mollie Crooks in at Bryan Place during their weekly meeting. Outgoing president, John Parker, discussed some of his accomplishments over the past year.
"We began our work on the Rotary Legacy Park project which is going to be on the strip of the canal between the 6th Street Bridge and the Y-Bridge. We've began fundraising for that internally so we've got a lot of things accomplished there already but we've got a lot more to do," said Parker.
The new president says sje amd the board have big plans including expanding their education and literacy service projects and increasing membership.
Crooks said, "We're looking for new, exciting, creative and motivated members. We're also hoping to expand our service projects and hopefully sustain throughout the community. And just to have fun, network with one another, provide fellowship and social opportunities."
