Saturday was the final day of the New Concord Fireman's Association's annual Fireman's Festival.
This is the 54th year of the large scale fundraiser. This year they are raising money to improve equipment they purchased with last year's funds.
"What we are hoping to do this year with our money is further equip our tower that we bought," said New Concord Fireman's Association President, Jason Moyer.
The money raised at the festival goes towards fireman training and buying educational tools, like the portable smokehouse, that teaches children fire safety and prevention. Every year the association raises between $7,000 to 10,000 through providing games, food and a raffle.
"Our huge raffle. We got over a thousand prizes down with our raffle. It's a dollar a ticket," said Moyer.
The last day of the festival ended with a parade and a movie at the park near the fire station. Moyer says that he enjoys spending time with the community and eating the chicken dinner that he purchases at the event every year.
