Senior Talent Show

From dancing to singing to playing musical instruments the talents of Muskingum County seniors will be on display this Friday night at John McIntire Library.

From 5 to 7 pm, the first ever “Seniors Got Talent”, will feature a dozen area senior citizens that have been pre-selected through a two-stage audition process.

"So basically, now we are having this event it's a great thing for seniors,” said President of the Muskingum County Senior Task Force, Michael Bryan. “I know they are going to enjoy it, they really enjoyed the audition process, we have had several auditions that we had to go through and it has been tough to judge that talent. It's a hard thing to do, to try to pick someone who is going to move forward into the contest and the people who aren't."

The purpose for the talent show, is to bring awareness to the Muskingum County Senior Task Force, which is a group of professionals that help seniors find the answers to their big questions.

"And those questions are typically: how do I pay for home health care, assisted living, or nursing home care but how do I still protect my assets and become qualified for some of these programs. The idea is, if we have all of these individuals together, it's a great one stop shop of information for seniors to find out answers to these questions."

There is a wide array of members of the task force including Bryan's law firm, nursing homes, medical centers and more. The full list and other information can be found at the task force's website at www.mcstf.org.
