The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties, hosted a presentation to inform the public how the organization is making an impact in the community.
Twenty different programs that receive funding through The United Way made a three minute speech summarizing how their organization will make a difference this year.
"We are really glad to be able to get the word out and as we begin campaign season,” said Community Impact Coordinator, Amy Davis. “We want to share more and more what those outcomes are, what the changes are within the community that these programs are making and how your money is getting that return on investment when you invest with the united way."
Davis says this year The United Way will invest a total of $653,000 in the community through these programs. This presentation allows investors, donors and board members to know exactly how the money will be spent.
"This is the second year we have done this and we think it is a good thing we want to be very transparent in who we are investing in and why and we want to be very responsible with our donors dollars. There are a lot of campaigns out there asking for a lot of money but we want to be transparent and and offer the best value for those who invest in the united way."
