Attempted Bank Robbery in Cambridge

Cambridge Police are looking for a man who they say tried to rob a bank at gunpoint.
 

Police say at around 5:00 Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the US Bank East branch in reference to an attempted bank robbery.
 

Authorities say the bank had just closed and locked its doors when the suspect carrying a bag and gun approached the bank and tried to gain entry.
 

When he couldn't get in, Police say the suspect returned to his vehicle and drove away.

He's described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slender build.
 

He was wearing blue jeans, a dark colored sweatshirt with the hood up covering his head.
 

He was driving a black Chrysler Town and Country van.
