Eastside Community Ministry held a charity golf outing at Vista Golf Course on Saturday morning.
This is the 7th year for the annual event and there were 18 teams of four who signed up to play for the good cause. Organizers say they are satisfied with this years turnout.
"Tee box sponsors seems to be up a little bit. We had great support from the community and a lot of the local businesses have been very generous and supporting. Teams are right where they have been in the past and we are pretty excited about that, " said Golf Committee Chairperson, Matt Schreiber.
Participants were given the chance to win prizes throughout the course including clothing, golf clubs, free rounds of golf and even more from local sponsors.
"There is also a hole in one contest from Jeff Drennen, and it sponsored a chance to win a car at the 18th hole. Par 3 has prizes as well," said Schreiber.
The outing usually raises around $4,000 dollars for Eastside Community Ministries youth programs which include 4-H, Girls Scouts, homework tutoring and many more programs that support the growth and education of children locally.
