Fans of the band DoubleCut are making their travel arrangements after the bands win during the Texaco Country Showdown State Final.
Monday night, the State Finals of the Texaco Country Showdown were held in Marietta during the Washington County Fair. Six winners from local competitions competed during the show.
DoubleCut brought their loyal fan base to cheer them on during their performance. And cheer they did when it was announced that the local country group from Zanesville, Ohio were moving on to regionals. DoubleCut will now make their way to Hershey, Pa on October 26th
DoubleCut originally audition for the local Texaco Country Showdown back in July. They were one of eleven finalists who competed in the completion held by WZVL on August 3rd. They took home the win during the local competition and also the fan vote of the People's Choice Award.
Their win at the State Final level earned them the chance to advance on to the Regional Final in Hershey, Pa. as well as a check for one thousand dollars. This is one of the five total regional finals held in the competition. The winners of the Regional Finals then advance to the National Final to be held in Nashville in January.
