A woman suffered injuries after her car careened into an embankment on Linden Avenue at around 6:30 Thursday evening.
The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says that the woman was traveling towards Zanesville going southbound when she struck a mini van and lost control of her vehicle. The victim was alone at the time of the accident.
"No passengers in the car, I believe there was one male passenger in the van. The occupants of the van don't appear to have any injuries, " said Sergeant, Chuck Merryman.
Both the Falls Township Fire Department and EMS assisted on scene. Officials at the department say they used a chainsaw and haul system to extract the woman from her vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. No names are being released at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
