The trial of a Zanesville man charged in connection with a fatal accident is over and he is a free man.  30-year-old Michael Wood was originally charged with two felony counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle under the influence.  This week Wood’s trial took place in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court before Judge Mark Fleegle.  Wood was found not guilty by the jury.  The charges stem from an accident that happened December 1st 2012.  Zanesville Police say Wood was driving a car that struck a utility pole.  A passenger in the vehicle 32-year-old April Smythe died of her injures. Court officials say the trial lasted two days.
