Lending a helping hand was the mission of one local organization.

The Zanesville Fraternal Order of Eagles visited Christ's Table Food Pantry in order to pass out socks to the less fortunate in our area. This is the 2nd service project for the Eagles this year.

"We wanted to pass out a warm clothing item and Keely recommended we pass out socks, said F.O.E #302 Officer, Bill Hicks. There is a big need for it so, we brought 700 pairs of adult socks and little kids socks. "

In every pair of socks for children there was also a pack of crayons for the kids to take home with them. While at Christ's Table the organization also donated their time in the kitchen.

"We brought our members down," said Hicks. We're helping serve the food, we made a donation to Christ's Table the Eagles have been sponsors of Christ's Table for many years.
"
Along with their service , the Eagles donated $500 to Christ's Table, the money will produce more than 2,000 meals. The Eagles are interested in growing membership and if you are interested in becoming a member of the Eagle Riders you can visit the organization online at www.foe.com
