A three car pile up caused some traffic congestion at Ohio 719 and Moxahala avenue, sending two people to the hospital.

According to Zanesville Police Department Sergeant John McCoy, Annette Carpenter of Roseville, was traveling south on Moxahala Avenue in a Crysler, when she failed to maintain assured cleared distance and her vehicle hit a Ford Explorer, which proceeded to knock into an Envoy in front of it. The two passengers in the middle vehicle, Cynthia Howell and Ruby Feeman were transported by EMS for neck, head and back injuries.

Police say the injuries appear to be minor, caused from whiplash. There was minimal damage because the wreck was low speed. The driver of the front vehicle, Courtney Gibson and Carpenter were not injured. Traffic was closed temporarily on a portion of Moxhala.
