Heartbeats Muskingum Valley opened last Monday in the former Jack Havana building and so far, client services manager Kimberly Cooper, said they've had five appointments so far and are hoping to bring in more clients and more volunteers.
"All our services are free and we survive on donations and we offer pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and a parenting program that women can use points that they earn from the parenting program to get diapers and wipes and clothing for their children," said Cooper.
The non-profit faith-based organization that is dedicated to helping women cope and prepare for an unplanned pregnancy, also provides programs about sexual integrity and post-abortion treatment.
"And we also offer abortion recovery programs. So if there's anyone out there that needs healing from that, they can contact us and we can get them through that program."
Heartbeats is open Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you need to make an appointment or want to learn more about becoming a volunteer, you can contact Heartbeats at 740-450-5437 or www.pregnancyzanesville.com
