As the murder trial of Lafonse Dixon continues in Common Pleas Court, Monica Washington spent time on the stand Friday morning.
Washington explained to the jury she met Dixon by getting drugs and Celeste Fronsman and Katrina Culberson from prostituting on the streets of Canton.
She also told the court about the morning of August 26, 2012 and how she placed the child locks on the vehicle, using it to kidnap Fronsman.
She explained her part in beating Fronsman and didn't realize it was Culberson's intention to kill her.
WHIZ reporter Mackenzie Stasko reported that Washington cried throughout her testimony.
Prosecutor Mike Haddox asked Washington why the jury should believe her and she said she was there to own up to what she'd done and she'd come to an understanding about what she'd done.
She also said that she wasn't anymore of a monster than Dixon and he should own up to his role in Fronsman's death.
Dixon is charged with aggravated murder, kidnapping and aggravated arson.
