A morning roll-over accident injured the two occupants of the vehicle and eventually sent the driver to a Columbus hospital by medflight.
Highway Patrol Trooper Wesley Archer says a Chevy Trailblazer was headed north on State Route 60, when the driver lost control on a right hand curve, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway, strike a utility pole and overturn several times.
“I believe her name is Sarah Conway,” said Archer. “I just got that from a witness that was here, he advised them what her name was, I haven't verified that just yet though. It did eject the driver, there was a two year old also in the back seat that seems to be okay at this time.”
Trooper Archer did not know the severity of the driver's injuries but says she was taken by ambulance to Genesis and then taken by medical helicopter to a Columbus hospital.
"I do know that she obtained some lower extremity injuries. I know she was up moving around and she had actually gotten back into the vehicle, to try to make a phone call."
Archer says the driver was not wearing a seat belt and will most likely be cited. He is not sure what caused the accident at this time and has to continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
