Troopers with the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol investigated a three vehicle accident on Interstate 70 east.
Troopers said the vehicles were heading east near the rest area where traffic was attempting to merge to the left lane due to a lane closure. That's when the rear most commercial vehicle driven by Anthony Berge, of San Bernardino, California, failed to maintain assured clear distance and struck the rear of a a pick-up driven by Casey Roski, of Cadiz, Ohio.
Berge's vehicle went into the median and overturned as Roski's pick-up struck the rear of a commercial vehicle driven by Wail Samhan, of Justice, Illinois.
Berge's passenger, Deanna Berge, was taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Roski's front seat passenger, Nicholas Roski, was taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center then flown by Med-Flight to OSU Medical Center for further evaluation. His rear passenger Erick Takach was taken by Med-Flight to Akron General. He's currently listed in stable condition.
Samhan declined medical treatment.
Members of the Antrim Fire Department and Old Washington Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control.
