Zanesville police say just before 6 p.m., a man stumbled into the East End Cafe on Greenwood Avenue with severe injuries, potentially a gun shot wound.

ZPD says that a white male who appears to be in his thirties collapsed on the floor of the cafe and has been sent to Good Samaritan Hospital for further treatment.

"We don't know that they were gunshot wounds," said Sergeant, Jon McCoy. We do know that he has at least one injury to the abdomen and an injury to the upper part of his head. "

Officers say that the cause of the injuries have yet to be determined, but they are working on figuring it out.

"Next step is to contact an on call detective. We are going to identify the individual, we are going to contact people to find where his whereabouts were before the incident and go from there, " said McCoy.

No names are being released at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
