As a small thank you for their service, veterans were able to get a free lunch this Veterans Day at Buffalo Wild Wings.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Buffalo Wild Wings in Zanesville was packed full of veterans taking advantage of the free lunch offered by the sports bar and restaurant.
"They just had to show any kind of proof of military service whether they were wearing a uniform, showed us a picture, if they had their military ID, any kind of proof of service we allowed them," said Director of Marketing at Buffalo Wild Wings, Amy Walters.
Walters says this is the third year the Zanesville location has given away free lunches and says each year, she's noticed the event grow.
"It's just something we're proud to be in this community and we want to support the veteran's that are out there and I think they don't get as much credit as they deserve a lot of the time and it's nice to just have a day for them. So we just want to make sure we give back a little."
