DISCUSSION: The computer models have continued to shift a little more west this afternoon and they continue to show more precipitation over Southeast Ohio. Therefore, we are expecting more snow across the region.
Light snow showers will begin toward midnight and continue into early Tuesday morning. We will have less than an inch of accumulation by Tuesday morning. Lows will be near 30.
Light snow showers will continue during early to mid-morning on Tuesday. There could even be a break in the snow shower activity, but then the snow will begin to get steadier by the late morning and into the afternoon. Also, during this time the snow will begin to mix with sleet, freezing rain and perhaps even some plain rain south and east of Zanesville. The precipitation will then change back over to snow across the entire region by Tuesday evening into Tuesday night. The accumulating snow will slowly taper off, from west to east, by Wednesday morning. Expect a general 3-6 inches of accumulation.
Snow showers will linger on Wednesday and it will remain cold. As this storm passes by, it is going to pull down colder air into the region. Lows by Wednesday night will be back in the teens.
It will remain cold on Thanksgiving, but temperatures will begin to moderate by Black Friday and the weekend.
