Z-Bus Now Called SEAT Bus

South East Area Transit District Director, Howard Stewart, says Guernsey and Muskingum County residents will soon be seeing a logo change on area buses.

"We had been traditionally called Z-Bus which is a tag name," said Stewart. "But being in two different counties, we're South East Area Transit. We're serving both of these counties and we just want to make the public aware that if the see the new logo, the new brand of seat on the busses, that it's still the same old bus."

Stewart says SEAT Buses transport about 390 people a day in both Muskingum and Guernsey Counties combined, making SEAT Bus one of the largest rural transportation systems in Ohio

"We have 24 revenue vehicles here in Muskingum County. We have what we call peak hours, peak hours we have about 17 to 18 buses running at a time."

Stewart says a majority of the bus routes run every half an hour, with others running every hour. You can find a list of bus routes at www.seatbus.com
