Sheriff I-D's Victim and Suspect In Pizza Delivery Case

Guernsey County Sheriff Mike McCauley released a some new details in connection with the death of a Cambridge Pizza delivery person.

The Sheriff says the victim is 26-year-old Kayla Thompson of Cambridge.  The suspect is identified as 32-year-old Adam Burris, also of Cambridge.

  It all started Thursday when Cambridge Police reported that a female pizza delivery person had not returned to work and may have been abducted by a man. 

Deputies used the man’s cell phone to track him and State Highway Patrol Troopers stopped him in the pizza delivery vehicle on I-70 in Guernsey County around 7:15 p.m.  Later Thompson’s body was found at Dillon State Park. 

Sheriff McCauley says Burris led them to Thompson’s body.  No motive in the death has been revealed. Thompson’s body has been taken to the Licking County Morgue for an autopsy. The incident remains under investigation.
