The volunteers at Christ's Table are bringing in the New Year by providing service to the less fortunate in our area.

Pastor at Rushing Wind Biker Church, Michael McGuire says his New Year's Resolution is to help people in the community while spreading the word of Christ. He says volunteering his time is something he and others like him are called to do.

"We enjoy coming in here anytime during the year and serving those who might be in need, but especially today bringing in the New Year for 2014. We are just excited to to lend a helping hand to those who might need a delivery somewhere else in Zanesville, " said McGuire.

Another volunteer says this was her first time volunteering at Christ's Table and she is impressed with the amount of people the food kitchen helps throughout the day, she says meeting the visitors at Christ's Table is a great way to start 2014.

"You know they are real kind people and they are beautiful people and it's so good to help and I know they appreciate it they are just beautiful," said Beth Hixon.

The Kitchen Manager at Christ's Table, Tim Collins says that he is thankful for all of volunteers who donated their time on New Year's Day and they helped feed about 300 locals.
